I would recommend to translate “ago” with “zuvor”.

Maybe we have to add an unordered list with class “social” manually in header.php right before the closing </nav> tag.

There is no setting for the language. The theme uses the settings from your WP installation defined in wp-config.php

1. Download the zip archive from zippyshare.com (link above)
2. Extract the zip file
3. Upload the file de_DE.mo to the directory /wp-content/themens/customizr/lang

And I just found out that AdBlock Plus seems to block the social media icons in customizr in my setup. ??

Yes, you find it under /lang in the theme directory. I had the same issue. That’s why I postet a link to my thread. I just edited the german language file with poedit. All names of social networks have to be written in lower case. You can try my file if you want: https://www40.zippyshare.com/v/92085912/file.html

I will provide a full translation for infomal German the next days.
