Anymore ideas?

I am upgraded to 2.1.2 now. Same problem.

Surely someone could lend some advice?

I could really use some help with this. I have tried replacing all the files and also taking off all the plugins/widgets and it still does the same thing. However, if I delete the prototype.js from the wordpress includes directory ajax does start working on the manage categories tab. But, it does not work on the write new/edit a post portion. Deletion of this required file also causes the widget panel not to work correctly. So, right now I have to delete the file to add categories and then go back and upload it again so everything else works right.

I’m having this same problem. Anybody have any ideas how to fix it.

Oops, except on the page where you edit or enter a post, there is no longer an option to add a category. Was I not suppose to delete one of those?

Woot! I finally got it to work. I deleted:
addEvent.js
moo.fx.js
moo.fx.pack.js
prototype-1.4.0.js
prototype.js
prototype.lite.js
quicktags.js
sweetTitles.js

and now it works like it’s supposed to. Thanks!

OK, I did have scriptaculous installed but wasn’t it using it for anything. I deleted it and things seem to work better but still not like they should. When I add a new tag it doesn’t automatically appear in the list. I have to hit reload on my browser to see it.

I checked and none of the things you mentioned are blocking anything or being blocked. But yes it does seem like it is the AJAX that is not working.

I am having the exact same problem.
