I should add: Removing the featured image, the header image still pulls, but for about 1 second it shows a default image and then shows the proper header image. This is all happening after updating WordPress and the theme (Allegiant Pro).

Thanks for the response. Glad to know we weren’t the only ones. I installed the “Really Simple CAPTCHA” and “Sabre” plugin to add an option to type in a random set of letters and numbers in hopes of preventing the bots from getting through. It worked for about an hour and continued back up, but not as frequent.

I’m willing to try out Askimet as they have a set of code you can add to the Contact Form 7 code. Think it is worth it at $5 a month?
