This is because I removed parallax.JS which was the engine behind the parallax image in all versions below 1.

I took the decision to remove this because it caused too many compatibility issues with various web browsers (IE), themes, and was generally slow on most (but not all) themes.
I replaced it with a CSS only version to help remove most compatibility issues that was occurring.

However I am in two minds to include a legacy option which would again use parallax.js as the engine.

For now, I can only suggest to use Version 0.3 to achieve the effect you require, unless the update notes list this functionality added back in.

Sorry this feature has been removed for now; as I’m sure you can appreciate, its hard to please everyone!

As previous topics, I haven’t got the time at the moment to look into any issues; but rest assured it is on my list.

In the mean time, if you have coding knowledge you could look at the ordering of your <div> elements of your page, and the plugin.

It looks as though the theme is not actually a full width theme? but it appears to be in a wide container or <div>. With this being the case, the parallax is full width to this container. Have you tried the full width option? this should it most cases over-ride the theme.

Sorry I can’t be more of an assistance at this time; however I will look into it as soon as possible.

Unfortunately I haven’t got the time at this moment to look into this. I have it noted down to look at though, so please bear with me.

I am, however, pretty sure it is to do with how your theme is layered. The way the parallax.js works is through z-layers. I have had to modify the z-layers to get it working consistently with the default wordpress themes (as these have to be the test bed). Now obviously not all themes are the same so I am planning on looking into how to make it more universal.

In the mean time, you could try playing around with the ordering of your <div> elements. What i’m pretty sure is happening is the image is being hidden behind your page. You should be able to confirm this by looking at the html markup.

If you need further assistance in the meantime, I can provide you with the details on where to modify the plugin to alter the z-order.

Just to let you know I have seen your post and I am investigating a way to speed up the loading of the image. It is noticeably slow on the site example you posted which is not really acceptable from my point of view.

However I am quite busy at the moment, so I can’t give you an indication of when it may be fixed. Keep an eye out for any new updates.

The plugin has always been 100% width to the content style of your theme (the parent div).

However a number of people have asked to have an option to over-ride the themes style and provide a true full width of the page.
As such I have provided this option from version 0.4
