What are the settings you used for the parallax?

The way the parallax works will be changed in further updates soon. A new CSS effect will be implemented and the Java version will be updated.
Because of this I would suggest to keep using the previous version until these new changes are distributed. Once this is done I would recommend migrating to either the new CSS or JS options.
The way the parallax effect currently work will eventually be depreciated.

Sorry for any disruption; as mentioned; if you can provide me with the above details I can just make sure there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the update.

I still haven’t received any advice on this? I have also contacted via Google.
This is a critical function of our site and we are having to limp by using combinations of other plugins which isn’t ideal.

You either have set feature image to be hidden; or there is a problem with your theme.

To be 100% sure; try the plugin with a different theme, preferably a standard theme.

It is possible that the set featured image setting is just hidden. there should be an option near the top of the screen somewhere to set which meta boxes are visible.

Its also possible that your theme disables the meta box from showing unless its a post type it supports; like a post. This sounds like the issue. I would contact the developer of the theme to confirm.

The feature image is fundamental to how the plugin works, hence the error message.

The parallax image is not really designed to repeat. Have you tried setting the image size?

I see. It may be an issue with your theme and the latest WordPress release; if you have updated WordPress.

Try reverting back to version 1.4 of the plugin; I need to be sure it is not something that was introduced in version 2.0 of the plugin.

Sounds strange. Has anything changed? or have you just upgraded to the new version and nothing else?

The plugin pre v1.0 actually used parallax.js; but it was stripped because of cross platform issues.

V2.0 which is very near WILL have background scrolling.

You can now use parallax scroll in your themes, using PHP. Using this method, there is no need to add a shortcode to a page or post; just simply paste the following PHP code into your PHP page where you would like your parallax to display. This method is especially usefull if you are having trouble with full width, or you would like to build it into your theme.

There may be a new option in the upcoming version that may help you.
