In reply to: Remove a SidebarThank you, riversatile.
It took me a long time to get around to it but the change itself was so easy because of your clear instructions. https://www.everydaychristianity.com looks so much cleaner and neater than before. Thanks again.

In reply to: Remove a SidebarI currently have 2 sidebars and want to remove 1 of them. In the editor I see 3 php files: sidebar, l_sidebar, and r_sidebar.
I edited sidebar.php to remove the mention of r_sidebar. While this removed it, the space for it was not allocated to my page and remaining sidebar, so I put it back.
Which php files do I need to modify and do I need to modify the css file to reallocate the remaining space?
My website is https://www.everydaychristianity.com and my theme is Super Adsense 2.1 by Gobala Krishnan.
Thanks.

In reply to: Remove a SidebarPlease excuse my lack of experience. Could someone provide more detail about the process? I have 3 files: Sidebar, l_sidebar, and r_sidebar.
Also, do I need to modify the css file to divide the remaining room?Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Missing file in wp-settings.phpThank you so much. No matter how long I work with blogs there seems to be something “new” to me (but not really new). This worked just as you said and my blog is back. Thanks again.

In reply to: Missing file in wp-settings.phpThanks for your prompt reply. Please excuse my ignorance but I have another question. I’ve downloaded the zip file and extracted the files in it. Can I simply upload these files to my blog subdomain without losing any plugins, etc that I have there already?

In reply to: vti_encodingMy stylesheet appears as it normally has but all my php files display this “vti_” coding instead of the php.

In reply to: Next/Previous post goes to a 404Say, BionicDrew, I have the same problem and have found many others with variations of it but with answers that 1) I don’t understand, or 2) don’t work. I haven’t found a single one of my categories that works properly.
For example:
https://www.everydaychristianity.com/guitar-tips/
When I scroll to the bottom and click on “Next Page >>” I get a 404 error (I’ve changed it to read “End of Articles” but it’s not!)
The URL shown is:
https://www.everydaychristianity.com/guitar-tips/page/2/My custom permalink structure is:
/%category%/%postname%/Would your solution of a Page template work for me? If, so could you provide a few specifics?
Thanks.

In reply to: Next Page results in 404 errorAn example page is here:
https://www.everydaychristianity.com/guitar-tips/When I click on Next Page>> I get this page:
https://www.everydaychristianity.com/guitar-tips/page/2/ with no content.
(I changed the 404 page message to “End of Articles” but it is not; there are more posts in this category.)Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: vt1-encodingHere’s a sample of one line from my l-sidebar-php:
vti_encoding:SR|utf8-nl
There are 5 more similar lines.
This keeps me from editing my menus and other items contained in the sidebar.

In reply to: New Page Not FoundThanks for the code but pardon my ignorance–where would I place it:
page template; single-post??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: New Page Not Foundwhen I remove the %category% parameter, I get a 404 Not Found error. When I put it back, my post pages displayed again. Next Page still doesn’t work.
