Noone wanted to help. Not a word from the developers. So I dumped this plugin and went back to Mailpoet. Works perfectly. My advice, Jaskaran, is to do the same.

Solution was obvious. #facepalm I removed too much of the code that places categories under the blogpost. Fixed that and everything is oke again. My sincerest apologies.

I mailed to Joomspirit/Nicolas. He provided an update 2 weeks ago. But for it to work you need to uninstall wpspirit first, and then reinstall the theme.

Tried downloading the theme from the Joomspirit site but it fails to install because of a missing stylesheet.I notified Joomspirit about this.

I changed the theme back to the old one (Luminescence light) because I can’t afford to have a bad looking business website.

I’ve asked several people to test the site on different devices with different browsers. No-one sees the stripes. I have 4 add-ons in FF which I switched off but no change.

Now here is a genuine mystery. ??

Sorry, no, the issue isn’t resolved. I can still see the strange ‘stripes’. You think it’s a user specific problem? Really weird! I’m going to ask a few friends to take a look.

Thought I’d let you know that the problem is gone. I published a new blogpost today and the feautured image is no longer a thumbnail. Jeez, that GC Testimonials realy messed things up.

Looks like the problem still isn’t solved but I kinda like the larger thumbnails instead of the full size featured image. ??

I’ve checked all the plugins and found discrepancies when deactivating the plugin GC Testimonials. After some experimenting I can now say that that plugin is definitely causing the problem.

For those who don’t know much about css, you can also use the plugin Colorful Text Widget for simple text, which allows you to change title color, text color and background color. Or Black Studio TinyMCE Widget which gives full editing options of the text.
