In reply to: [EventCalendar] Featured image to align center (and in calendar preview)Hi, I am not even sure if I am asking for help in the correct place. I don’t have a calendar. The problem is simply that the option to centre text does not do so. The example you show indicating the central position is exactly what is not working. Only on this particular page on my site. In reply to: [EventCalendar] Featured image to align center (and in calendar preview)Hi, I recently received support to add a clickable alphabet to a page, it works great. However, I must have removed some text whilst implementing. When I now want to add new pictures or text I am able to place left or right but not centre. Can you help me with this. Alistair

In reply to: Add a single page alphabet barHi, The Alphabet is working perfectly. Left with one problem, when adding new pictures or text to the page I no longer have the ability to centralise, I can place left or right but not centre. I must have caused this to happen when I was in text. all other pages and posts dont have this issue.

In reply to: Add a single page alphabet barThanks very much Paul, I am keen to wait for your other option (there is a better way (no coding required) to construct the page) If I end up getting completely stuck perhaps you could direct me to a technician who would do it for me at a reasonable cost.

In reply to: Add a single page alphabet barHello Paul, thank you for the information, I am sure it is accurate, I simply do not have the knowledge to implement it. I will mark it as resolved.

In reply to: Add a single page alphabet barHi Paul, I guess you are used to working with people savvier than myself. Please let me take you step by step how I am going about this.
1 – Initially I am starting with A B C which I have entered in visual mode, obviously if I master it with your help I will be completing the alphabet. It is my understanding that each letter at the top of the page will have to be individually linked with the code you have supplied.
2 – This content code <div class=”mylist”></div> This content code which I can add in text – Where on the page do I place it bearing in mind it will be the full alphabet
3 – I have linked the letter B with this <div id=”A”>A</div>
Should the alphabet running horizontally at the top of the page be done in text mode. Already you are thinking now I know why Steve lost his patience. Give me one more chance with a step by step for dummies before giving up. I entered the css code.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Add a single page alphabet barThanks I will work with this and see how I get on, I will get back in touch. Alistair

In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageOn my site I have just clicked on (B) that is indeed where I placed the
<a>
tag and not the<div>
Link below shows this if you look at the address bar. It would appear I am completely out of my depth, sorry to have bothered you.https://www.aberdeengardening.co.uk/diary/our-plant-list-a-to-z/%3Ca%20href=#A”>A

In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageHi Steve, I have followed your instructions and I am still getting this message
https://www.aberdeengardening.co.uk/diary/our-plant-list-a-to-z/%3Ca%20href=#A%22%3EA%3C/a%3E
The menu bar link I have added on its own and also added at the end of the url for that page. It doesnt work either way.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageHi Steve, dont give up on me, I am an old geezer and slow to your standards.
1 – I entered the anchor links A B C at the top of the page (hash tags I didnt use)
2 – I am working on (B) In text mode for content I added <div id=”A”></div> replacing the uppercase A with a B
3 – The menu bar link I used<a href="#A">A</a>
I got page not found, I replaced the two uppercase A letters with B as i am working on B. still not found page.
If you can stick with me I will continue working with B until I get it. Does the hash tags have some bearing on it, I have no understanding of these.
4 – The menu bar link I add the code to the end of th url link for the page A to Z

In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageI have had a go at this. I added an A B C Then in text mode I added <div id=”A”></div> changing the A to B etc I then copied this and linked it to B. The link when applied opens a page which says page cannot be found. Alistair

In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageI follow you regarding the anchor links. Do I forget about the plugin and add the alphabet manually to the top of the page.

In reply to: Add an alphabet bar to pageHi Steve, thanks for this suggestion. This plugin requires a separate page for each letter to have been created. My A to Z is all on the one page. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Alistair

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] New page published but not showingI think there was some conflict giving the page the same name, even if I had deleted the old page. I have now renamed the page. Its still not showing but I can now see it when I go to preview.
