    Hello.

I updated this morning to Version 2.5.6 and now I cannot edit posts. I got the following page / message : “There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

After desactivation, everything goes fine (when I reactivate Slideshow SE, again impossible to edit any content). So I think there is no doubt about the cause.

Note that “from outside” (for the visitors), it seems everything is OK. Something else : actual version = WordPress 6.1.1

How / Where can I find the previous version of Slideshow SE? So I suppose I would recover all the missing functions (edit content).

Thanks in advance for your help or feedback.

    Ben

Interesting. I don’t have that problem, but I believe you. The process of getting the plugin reactivated was very painful and I’m sure something got missed. I’ll take a look and try to replicate the problem and get a fix out as soon as possible. I guess the message for anyone out there is to hold off on upgrading for until I figure out what’s happening.

Hi John – and thanks for reactivity. I will try again (update to the last release) in a few weeks and will let you know. Bye for now.

I found the issue. Sorry about that, it was all my fault. If you have a dev or beta version of your site, give it a shot before installing it on your prod site. Having said that, I deleted the plugin and reinstalled from scratch on my beta site and my prod site with the plugin (now) working as expected. Look for version 2.5.7.

Found a bug, didn’t fix a bug, fixed a bug. Version 2.5.9 is the latest. Let me know if you see any issues.

    Hello John.
I have the pleasure to confirm that it works fine now.
    Thanks for all.
