I have looked at the tutorial you send
Not sure if that would be the solution…

That completely replaces WP for login/password reset etc.

To me that makes the wordpress installation more vulnerable for hacks (in the future) since those scripts won’t be updated (unless manualy ofcourse)

Also I think it is kind off an overkill for just wanting WP to skipp the username with it’s reset password lookup function don’t you think?

Anyone else have a solution??

(I think) it has nothing to do with bbpress.
Like I said, the reset password uses the standard WP script.

So forget about bbpress and the forum;

How can I remove the option to reset a users password by filling in the users username in the form.
I want that if a users needs to rest his password he needs to fill in his emailaddress.

The password reset uses the standard wordpress feature, no plugin or whatever…
So there is no more information needed.

For what it’s worth; the forum is bbpress.
