In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] A long trail of character after a link in the stats viewThank you for the explanation, although I do not have a Facebook account someone else might have shared it. Good to know that there is no suspicious activity.

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] A long trail of character after a link in the stats viewThank you for looking into the issue. I am aware of the filter function but no other link has the long string of characters after it. I have a screen capture that shows the full gobbledygook. If you have difficulty reading the full code, here is what it says:
?page=slimview2&fs%5Bresource%5D=equals+%2Falbert-kahn-the-archives-of-the-planet%2F%3Ffbclid%253DIwY2xjawF7L4lleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHVzCwgbeGP92McDnItVos6EL1Yv50kZHc2RRUpwFasTrzF_2HzZzCVrNJQ_aem_hUcPCTOQ3Z1aCr273jkprw
And, here is the link to a newer screen capture with no blurring:

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] A long trail of character after a link in the stats viewGlad to share the information you asked for. Find the screen capture at the following address with the string of characters blurred. If you like, I can share with you the full link via safe means.

I also observed that the odd display happens when I view the daily stats but not when I view the period stats, say last four weeks.
Thank you,
Cemal

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Display counts instead of percentagesThank you, it worked!
I followed your instructions and removed the stats from the edit window, thank you.

Thank you, I will take another look, Amir.

Thank you for your explanation. I gathered it might be uBlock and made sure it was disabled. But the error persisted. I was wondering if there was a way to disable that accordion tab. Or, if I decide to continue using WP Statistics, I may learn to ignore it. That is a little too much information if you ask my opinion.
Take care,
Cemal
Jetpack has to be more open with its processes and not do things like categorizing a site as commercial because there are posts reviewing products. And, that is only one part of it. I have made multiple requests, suggestions, recommendations and years passed with no action on them. You can check my comments here as well as on github.
This kind of corporate behavior bothers me because I taught marketing at college and graduate levels for over 40 years and this is not what we taught. Pushing the consumer aside is, or used to be, one of the worst mistakes any company could do.
I also understand that this is one of the ways WordPerfect can monetize on their ideas. In fact, introduction of Jetpack was an effort to break some components of it off into a plugin. And, as the saying goes, the rest is history.
Best,

OK, Jetpack, you finally convinced me that I should give up on Jetpack. So, I jettisoned all my Tiled Galleries, WordPress galleries will be fine. I eliminated the image compare modules with a different plugin. I have two site stats plugins are running and I will choose one of them. The arbitrary treatment of sites as “commercial” and ignoring questions about that is not good marketing. I know, I taught it for over 40 years. Enough is enough.
I will write a new article on my site and explain what I did and give a few pointers. Maybe other users may decide to dump Jetpack.
So long!

In reply to: [SlimStat Analytics] Is it possible to import stats history from Jetpack?Thank you for your quick reply. I may still bite the bullet, your responsiveness is a definite plus.
I have been running SS next to JP and find notable difference between the reported numbers. Is this normal? And what makes them count different number of page views?

I switched to Icegram Express. I recommend it, it works, and the people behind it are responsive.
Yet another related question; is it possible to request that the site be reviewed again to remove the commercial classification? If it is, what is the process? I do not have affiliate links although I review products and receive no payments for that. On every review, you will see a disclaimer that there are no affiliate links in the article.
Please advise how to proceed to remove the commercial designation of my site.
Another user asking a related question alerted me to the possibility of my site being treated as commercial. It is hard to know what the determining factors may be, but I do not have a store, and so far I have not sold any of my photographs online although I encourage people to inquire about them.
A related question I have is this: If I switch to another stats plugin, is it possible to transfer my site stats history to that plugin? I am getting uncomfortable with Jetpack directions and site evaluations.
Thank you.
