In reply to: [Antispam Bee] aria-hidden elements do not contain focusable elementsHi Torsten,
Thanks for explaining.
Deque’s notes on this issue say, “Aria-hidden may be used with extreme caution to hide visibly rendered content from assistive technologies only if the act of hiding this content is intended to improve the experience for users of assistive technologies by removing redundant or extraneous content.”
As the hidden field is only for spambots, I think that applies in this case.
Yes, I worked out that I could deactivate the module. That makes the titles work as expected.
I hope you have a fix for the issue soon!

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML sitemap doesn’t loadMight be a browser add-on that’s interfering. I can’t seem to load XML sitemaps on any site, including Yoast’s.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML sitemap doesn’t loadThanks. I’m using Firefox 78.0.2 (64-bit) on Windows 10 Home.
Enhanced Tracking Protection is off for this site.

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] XML sitemap doesn’t load@devnihil Cleared all the caches, and the sitemap loads in Chrome and Edge. In Firefox, which is my primary browser, it only loads in private browsing mode.
Am I right in thinking that I can no longer edit what goes into the sitemap with the free Yoast SEO plugin?

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Toggle not working on mobile version of siteI think there’s some kind of theme/plugin conflict.
The toggle button for your mobile menu opens the Table of Contents, instead of showing your mobile menu.
Not sure why that’s happening, though.
The post titles you want to exclude are all Heading 4s.
If you are not using Heading 4s in your article, you could just ensure that only Heading 1, Heading 2 and Heading 3 are checked in the Table of Contents Headings section of the editor. Then the Heading 4s won’t be added to your table.
This should exclude the related posts, but just for this one post. If you want to do the same for all of them, uncheck Heading 4 in Settings > Table of Contents.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] Accessibility RequirementsI agree that the title attributes on the links are unnecessary. WordPress removed adding title attributes to links in version 4.2.
There’s another problem with the icon link to show and hide text – it’s not keyboard accessible. I’ve tried tabbing through the links on the page and it’s skipped.

In reply to: [Easy Table of Contents] One problem and one suggestion.Hi @tudogz, I have been trying out this plugin myself.
Have you tried the Float:None (Default) setting in Settings > Table of Contents for the first problem, then changing position to After first heading?
For the second issue, have you tried checking the box “Initially hide the table of contents.”? That collapses the TOC. It works across all TOCs, in case you have more than one.
Hi,
I’m not much further on, I’m afraid.
I tried accessing the page in Chrome with extensions disabled. Same result.
Then in Edge which has no extensions, the same again. Console messages:
HTML1300: Navigation occurred.
tools.php (1,1)HTML1527: DOCTYPE expected. Consider adding a valid HTML5 doctype: “<!DOCTYPE html>”.
Using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, after enabling it I tried to enable Wordfence and got this message:
When enabling the plugin, wordfence, a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted.
I tried enabling about another half dozen plugins and got the same message:
When enabling the plugin, (plugin name), a site failure occurred. Because of this the change was automatically reverted.
So that didn’t help much.
I noticed when accessing the Site Health Info that a few bits of info didn’t display and said Loading…
I don’t know if this is significant. The parts that didn’t load were:
- WordPress directory size
- Uploads directory size
- Plugins directory size
- Database size
- Total installation size
Browser console says this:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1 site-health.php:1 Unchecked runtime.lastError: The message port closed before a response was received.
I tried putting the firewall into Learning mode. The same happened as when I looked at the Console: the Site Health page seemed to load momentarily and then went back to showing the date and time.
Cloudflare is enabled on this site, and its IPs are whitelisted.

In reply to: [Redirection] Redirect and keep query stringI have the same issue. It’s good to know about the new plugin version.
I was just wondering what the correct regular expression was to use to keep the query string?
I have redirected some URLs today with Facebook query strings in the format
https://example.com/wrong-url/?fbclid=IwAR1tV9rrUxsh9d3Z to
https://example.com/right-url/
Using the expression
Source: ^/wrong-url/.*
Target: /right-url/But I’m guessing that removing the query from the URL will mean removing that Facebook referral data from Google Analytics.
Can you advise?
I’d like to know the answer to this too, as I have more than one site I want to upgrade to PHP 7.2.
