In reply to: next_posts_link() problemsMy hosts insist that they have made no changes to my apache version.
How are you getting on bear133?
Can anyone advise if Apache 2 is essential for Permalinks to work?

In reply to: next_posts_link() problemsJust a heads up – I found out that my web host (1&1) have downgraded my apache platform from 2.x to 1.x This messes up a whole host of things, especially if you use nice permalinks.
My host, as always, are being useless about it and I might just have to live with this. I mention this for two reasons:
1. in case any other 1&1 folk have the same issue and wonder why
2. in case any other folk haven’t checked what v of apache they might be on and are trying to use fancy permalinks.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: next_posts_link() problemsI have the same problem. I imported my data from my old WP2.0.6 site to 2.1
I’ve a thread open elsewhere with no responses on this.
I’m @ https://mybloodygreatnutshell.com My posts were from a different domain originally too.
I’ll be interested to hear how you solve this when you do please.

In reply to: WP 2.1.x Next/Previous footer links don’t appearHmmn, seeing as this problem seems to occur with all themes I reckon this in now posted in the wrong area and could be why it’s getting no responses.

In reply to: WP 2.1.x Next/Previous footer links don’t appearJust an update on this problem. Even when I use the default WordPress theme I get to previous / next link at the bottom of the page.
Could there be another issue with my installation as opposed to the template code being the problem?

In reply to: Loop doesn’t complete on all themes – used to work okI refer you to the bit in my original thread that reads, “I’ve disabled all of the plugins…”

In reply to: Whole theme centered in FF but to the left in IEthanks for the response.
I’ve moved the Google script to inside of header.php and that’s sorted my issue rather than having it before the php call in index.php and as far as I can see it now works ok.
I can’t find other ways to get the plugins to work properly cos the writers clearly haven’t obeyed w3c so the rest of the site will have to remain as it is.
At least it centres in IE again now.
Cheers for the quick response
