Hi,

Yes that is correct “Google Rich Test Results shows text from the main product description but switches to the short description if it’s filled in”.

As i’ve removed all the short descriptions now off the website now, so that Google Rich now picks up the text from the main description only, also this was happening on my other website as well, but the short descriptions have also been fully removed off that website as well..

Hi,

Simple SEO Plugin, doesn’t seem to not be adding the description text? content is blank.
meta property=”og:description” content=””

other plugins seem to add the blow:

meta property=”og:locale” content=”en_GB”
meta property=”og:type” content=”product”
meta name=”twitter:label1″ content=”Price”
meta name=”twitter:data1″ content=”1 GBP”
meta property=”product:price:amount” content=”1″
meta property=”product:price:currency” content=”GBP”
meta property=”product:availability” content=”instock”

Hi,

i have sorted it now..

i followed these steps on a old post:

1. Go to Settings tab on “Marketing > Pinterest”
2. Disable “Enable product sync”
3. Enable “Erase Plugin Data” and Save
4. Go to Connection tab on ?”Marketing > Pinterest”
5. Disconnect your accoun by clicking on “Disconnect”
6. Deactivate and uninstall “Pinterest for WooCommerce”
— At this point no feed should be present on /wp-content/uploads, no settings on the table wp-options, no Scheduled Action related to Pinterest and no feed registered on Pinterest —

Hi,

i found out yesterday if i used Firefox v132.0.x your banner is thin and fully widescreen, with a cross “close button” on the top right hand side corner, that does work Ok

As i was using Chrome v131.0.6778.x and your Banner showed as a small square shape, only on the top left ( and not fully widescreen ) so is was missing / not showing the close button..

Hi

Thank you for the reply, their is not a Duplicate of the files, called sitemap.xsl
unless it mean it’s a duplicate of a file called: sitemap.xml
Both of which have been auto created by the XML sitemap generator plugin

the file called sitemap.xsl is in: ***/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap.xsl
the file called sitemap.xml is in: ***/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/sitemap.xml
both of which has been made by XML Sitemap Generator for Google plugin

note: the file “sitemap.xsl” url doesn’t show any sitemap details on this page it only shows the plugin header text message only.

Dynamically generated with XML Sitemap Generator for Google by Auctollo. This XSLT template is released under the GPL and free to use details

Hi David

i fully understand its a SIMPLE plugin for SEO meta data, my problem is the website has got bigger over time, and as their been no issues with the sites SEO and Google search, so i haven’t looked into changing the SEO plug-in, as they say why mess with things, when things works ok..

Not sure what you mean by ” there is a quick edit function” ?

their only seems to be one way to edit the Product categories SEO Title and the SEO Description that’s by going into each category name and editing SEO titles and descriptions, manually one by one.

Just thought there may be someway to bulk import data, as the Simple SEO plugin seems to able to import SEO from other plugins data.

HI,

Thanks Peter for the message, basic HTML/CSS custom code and using premade snippets code is as far as my coding skills goes.

possibly best for me to deactivate Wordfence 2FA for customers, and maybe find a different 3rd party plugin 2FA just for Woocommerce customers to use within their admin/dashboard .

Thanks anyway..

Hi,

The SKU “&” or ampersand within the SKU’s are coming from my wholesale suppliers auto daily feed CSV.

as i update my Products Stock Qty by their SKU’s, due to the wholesales CSV Product ID isn’t the same as my Product ID’s.

i will give my wholesales a heads up about & ampersands within their SKU’s, now i know someone other than me can replicate the issue. (if they really care or read my email is another thing.)

Big thanks for your help, it’s good to know am not going mad.

to add to the above, when the CSV export shows: &
i deleted the one product from within Admin WooCommerce products.

but looking at the database the product is still showing and hasn’t been removed /deleted in:
_postmeta
wc_product_meta_lookup

so even by recreating the product again manually or by upload CSV, even after it been deleted from within the Admin woocommerce side, if using the same SKU’s but without the amp;
the product that’s still within the database with & seems to over righting the newly made product.

so on the next CSV export it will again have amp; added to the &

hi,

i’ve used :
Google doc’s saved as save as comma separated CSV
Openoffice V4.1.15 opened as UTF-8 CSV and saved has UTF-8 CSV
Modern CSV saved as UTF-8 CSV
Excel saved as comma separated CSV

i’ve even tried changing the woocommerce import to Character encoding of the file upload using UTF-8 before importing.

today

1, i used Google doc’s only to import the product, and it imported ok,

2, i then exported the CSV in woocommerce and opened up in google doc’s changed the price and stock amount, saved as CSV and reimported, import ok.

i then re-exported a CSV again within woocommerce opened up in google docs, and again the & has now changed to &

HI,

After setting up a subdomain with new database, and new wordpress, and WooCommerce
here’s what i found..

i created a product manually with Variations. with colour, size stock, price etc
all the variation SKU’s had a” & “within them.

i exported the woocommerce CSV file and it all looks fine, and No &
showing up on the CSV file SKU’s

thought i had sorted it…until

if i update the opened CSV file, and change the Stock qty amount and change the prices
and save and upload the CSV file as it was downloaded with all columns’

and Tick the box “Existing products that match by ID or SKU will be updated. Products that do not exist will be skipped.”

everything seems to upload ok, until i redo a new export woocommerce CSV file to check the new stock qty and new prices have updated.

now all the SKU’s have a & on the CSV file.

hi,

the product was made manually within WooCommerce add product, and not by importing a CSV file, it’s the exported CSV file that has issues.

even if i import a CSV it works ok, but as soon as i export a CSV file, its got the &amp: added, Which wasn’t on the import or when added the product manually.

i even tried the wordpress tools export XML ” Variations” and even this XML export file shows the SKU’s with &amp:

wp:postmeta
wp:meta_value><![CDATA[TESTINGTSHIRTBLACK&CREAMSMALL]]
