Running into issues with uploading images and sizes on the wp media library. The sizes do match what I put in the media settings. Then when I go to a post to insert a image all the sizes are screwed and under sizes it only shows 3 of 4 available sizes. Thumbnail Medium and Full Size no large?

    I am running:
    WordPress 2.8.5.
    Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix)
    PHP: v5.2.3
    GD: bundled (2.0.34 compatible)

I went through high and low and still having issues.
I deactivated all plugins. Reactivated 1 by 1. – No luck
    I am not running podpress

Please help this is extremely frustrating…

    Thx Mod!

UNCLE – UNCLE …lol I am going to have to roll back. Sidebars, Screen Options, plugins, lost functionality and other components are just not working…..

To remain politically correct – 2.8 Should not have been release and well like Microsoft (sorry I said that) there are to many lessons learned and I guess I had a different mind set when I went to 2.8… Hmmmmm

Out loud thought for WordPress Versioning – Maybe like Cisco – Even Stable | Odd Unstable

Or was this a big push and everyone said “Hey we need the marketing” and didn’t like what developers said about functionality and QA…??

In short I still am a huge WP supporter just don’t ever feel the “NEED” to push a new release if it’s – Not backward Compatible” has not been “QA” and for sure make sure it can at least do what it did before… Users are a creature of habit and will slowly add new functionality and brag all over the internet….

Thanks for the read and now I start my journey “Open Arms” (Joke) back to 2.7.1 and wait for the real release of 2.7.2 ?? <- The Real Stable Version

Suggestions – As I am on the same hunt for a mass or bulk category editor. I just came across this on a site..

I have not tested it yet but will address it soon… Thoughts?

Site I found this post on: https://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/2007/01/batch-categories-wordpress-plugin-bulk-edit-your-categories/

This is the latest wordpress plugin I am playing with. Want to power edit your categories in a flash? Still editing category allocation to each blog post manually? I found this lesser known amazing wordpress plugin called Batch Categories that will sort out your WordPress categories in bulk instantly. This WordPress plugin lets you batch edit categories that is, assign multiple posts to a category, or delete multiple posts from a category, in one quick go.

Installation is easy. Simply upload the batch-categories folder to your wp-content/plugins folder, activate the plugin in the admin panel, and that’s it. The administration screen itself is at Manage > Batch Categories. They strongly recommend you back up your wp_post2cat table before doing anything rash with this plugin.

I have been looking for such a plugin ever since I switched from Blogger to WordPress. Though the blogger import was easy, I was left with hundreds of posts in the uncategorized / miscellaneous category and had to manually go through each post to allot a category. This would have been easy had I found batch categories before.

Even now when I create a new category and need to allot that category to multiple posts, I need to do it manually. This plugin will do that job in seconds. Truly amazing! I wonder why it is not incorporated in WordPress by default. Maybe I should suggest this.

See more WordPress plugins I use.

Update: WP-Cats is another WordPress plugin that aids in mass category management. WP-Cats augments the Manage Posts screen with Ajax controls that allow two-click adding and single-click removing of categories from individual posts.

WP-Cats is a WordPress plugin that aids in mass category management.
    What does it do?

WP-Cats augments the Manage Posts screen with Ajax controls that allow two-click adding and single-click removing of categories from individual posts.

If a post is filed only as Uncategorized, this category will be removed when any other is added. If you have previously added a category to a post on a page, you can add it to other posts by double-clicking the add-icon.

Please let me know if you like this, or encounter any issues/bugs. If you’re feeling magnanimous, I enjoy presents.
    Download

    WP-Cats v0.21 (WP 2.5.1 or WP 2.6)

    Installation

Save the contents of the source file to wp-cats.php, and upload it to /wp-content/plugins/. In your administration panel, navigate to the plugins page, and activate it. (WordPress 2.5.1 or 2.6 required)

    Enjoy!

I hope this comes in a plugin soon! Great post!

” Holy S**T!!!!!!! I got it to work. You are the greatest ever. I’ve been browsing the forums trying to figure this out for a month and know one knew what they were doing except for you.

This just brightened the hell out of my day!!!”

I have been looking all over for something. I believe it to be common place to build a page and the post and article or “post” to a category and have that post appear in the page.

This allows for easy administration and understanding without having to be a super php wiz kid… I still love WordPress over Drupal…

I just finished updating my site and installed a couple new pluginns and now i get a redirect… I can no longer get to the admin screen to remove modules… Who moderates modules?
