I did have meta synchronization enabled, because I thought that was best. When disabled I’m able to create mobile specific CSS.

I added the above code to functions and your new setting appeared. But setting that to ‘VisualComposer Page CSS: Allow mobile versions having their own metadata’
alone did not work. I still needed to disable ‘General metadata
synchronization’ as well.

OK so basically what I’m trying to say is:

I added a new graphic in Tiles & Meta / Local SEO / new logo

but

the new graphic (unseen-light.png) and
the existing website logo

both appear in the rank math schema meta text for the homepage

Google once again selects the website logo to show on its search page (on mobile)

The plugin for the mobile version just released another update. The developer thinks perhaps Rank Math adds ‘noindex’ as it is a ‘non-published’ page. This has been changed

I’m almost scared to get too excited, but I think you solved it.

A little confused about your last instruction thought. I had published it .. but also needed to make it ‘public’, otherwise the meta still read as ‘noindex’
Is that what you meant? .. make it ‘public’

It was a plugin causing the issue. Although I’m not sure which one yet.

I disabled all plugins and reactivated them in groups. Everything is working okay at the moment.

If I ever discover the exact plugin I’ll let you know, but unfortunately I don’t have time at the moment.

only ever had the lite version.

the first digital download product worked for months.

the new digital product did not.
then when I checked the first product again it was no longer working.

I’m not sure there had been a Marketpress lite update, but I may have updated wordpress once
