I appreciate your response. I did post the question on the WooCommerce forums but didn’t get any response. Maybe I need to repost to different forum sections.
Anyway, I’ve been readjusting dimensions for hours now and for whatever reason, the first image is always blurry and the other images look fine. I’ve resized that first image for the last several hours and no matter what I do, whether I make it bigger or smaller, it makes no difference. It always comes out blurry. Can you please help? Should the thumbnail be 1000×1000 or something much larger than 150×150? I’m not getting anywhere and I’m just trying to use the free version of WooCommerce to be able to provide e-commerce.
Does anyone know why the featured thumbnail in WooCommerce is always blurry and distorted whether you resize it or not, and how can I fix it?
I’ve tried resizing the image by fifty percent larger and then fifty percent smaller and nothing changes it in any way. I read one tutorial that said the coding issue is in WordPress and another that said the coding issue is in WooCommerce.
Is there any way to fix this or does WooCommerce just do this all the time with other e-commerce sites? I’ve e-mailed support at WooCommerce and gotten no response and posted the question on one of their forums and gotten no response.
I could use WooCommerce for client e-commerce if I can solve the blurry image issue and then I could use the other suggestions to hide distorted widgets on certain pages. It would seem reasonable for WooCommerce to want to get involved in the discussions here or respond to e-mails so I don’t get why they will not. Are there alternatives to WooCommerce that are as easy to use but without all the necessary reworking and plugins and coding issues?
But, anyway, to stick to the subject, if anyone can help with the blurry image issue, I’d really appreciate it and will just take it one step at a time for now if I can solve that issue.
Thanks.
You are totally right. I found it a few minutes later.
But, I have read through it and cannot find any way (yet) to solve the blurry image issue.
I’ve used WooCommerce to create a site to sell greeting cards on.
Everything seems fine, but the first image or featured thumbnail comes out blurry no matter what I do.
I’ve tried reducing the image size by fifty percent or more or enlarging it and nothing solves the issue.
I’ve read one tutorial so far that says the coding issue is in WordPress and then another tutorial that says the coding issue is in WooCommerce. I’ve e-mailed WooCommerce twice already at two different e-mail address and gotten no response.
Can you help?
Thanks.
It’s a brilliant idea for a theme, since every developer and business wants a mobile switcheroo application. The next step would be to create more mobile app themes for WordPress that are attractive but very simple (like color blocks or stripes).
I’ll try it out for my business website. Please let me know when you get time to work on it more.
This seems to be an unresolved issue with WordPress plug-ins….having a mobile/iphone theme switch available. If only there were some way to just automatically switch.
I saw a page on Google (https://pelfusion.com/know-how/how-to-create-or-convert-website-into-mobile-format/) that would take a URL entered into a search form and take that typical website and just convert it to a very basic, plain list with no images or anything so that it would work with all mobile apps/browsers removing all graphics–just text and links and bare basics. Maybe an option box would be a good idea, so people with iphones or whatever could just click a box to select to have a plain HTML site?
I’m thinking of trying this plug-in but do not understand the issue. When you say “child theme” are you referring to a secondary theme specifically to be used for mobile browsers/iphones, etc?
Your suggestion worked! Thanks. Seems to be working thus far.
I will try that and see if it works. Thank you.

In reply to: [Navayan Subscribe] [Plugin: Navayan Subscribe] form fields too long to useThank you for responding.
I have the most current version of WordPress and just downloaded the newest version of this plugin.
The spacing and length issue is still there. I uploaded the widget without making any changes or editing of any kind and the spacing/length issues are still there as before. The forms’ length cover half the website page, way beyond any margin and looked out of place. This plugin would work if I placed it on a page or post, but not as a widget ….. unless I try to edit some of the HTML or Javascript to adjust the length issues.

Thank you so much!

In reply to: Questions about Posting CommentsThanks! That’s what I wanted, anyway, for people to be able to comment on articles that have already been posted, to get their input on pre-existing articles.
I’ll go back “under the hood” and try out what you suggest.

In reply to: Questions about Posting CommentsI went in and created a test person myself and could see that I could edit a post from someone other than myself as “tester.”

In reply to: Questions about Posting CommentsI logged in and set up a test account and could edit comments made by other people.
Also, after I’d changed it so people could post comments, the pages are still coming up as unable to post comments.
Is this because I used Artisteer to make the template/theme or because it’s an older version of WP? Or did I do something wrong?
The website URL is denvermediation.info
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Login points at wrong URLI read the page you suggested, but am still confused.
I originally registered the denvermediation.info domain name to build the website on and put denvermediation.info into the dashboard of the website when I set it up from a blog to a website. Then I purchased the URL re-direct https://www.justiceforall.cc so that justiceforall.cc redirects to denvermediation.info.
1) What would be the easiest, simplest way to fix this so that the site has the single domain name of justiceforall.cc? There must be a way to do this without having to recreate the entire website/theme again.
2) What happens if I let the denvermediation.info domain name/URL expire from GoDaddy and do not renew that URL or domain name?
Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Login points at wrong URLI don’t think I explained the problem very well.
The website https://www.justiceforall.cc is a functioning website. Denvermediation.info is the same website. I got the domain name denvermediation.info first. I set up the WordPress theme first using Denvermediation.info as the URL. Then I purchased another URL through GODaddy, Justiceforall.cc and then I started my business Justice for All.
If you type in justiceforall.cc it will take you to denvermediation.info.What I want to know is if I change the URL in the General settings, so the URL and blog URL are https://www.justiceforall.cc instead of denvermediation.info, will that screw anything up? Since the URL redirect is set up through GoDaddy.com so that if you type in justiceforall.cc it will take you to denvermediation.info.
Please clarify for me if you don’t mind.
