I gave up on the plugin and went back to BuddyPress after trying the plugin out and getting nowhere fast.

Have you actually used this plugin on your website and does it actually work? Every site that I’ve gone to (thus far) with it, has it as a blank area with nothing there.

I’m over it, dude. The plugin looks great and is an easy install, but that’s where it begins and ends. I worked on this for hours last night and have better things to do with my time. Time to look at other plugins.

I just checked all tutorials and logged out, and then tried to register as an “outside” user. Can’t do it. It would let me log in as a “subscriber” but after I got my password and username and logged in there was no Forum to participate in and no possible way to post any new comments or topics. Please help.

I created Categories and deliberately clicked on the Add Forum button for each category. Nothing. No way to create a post of any kind and no create a post button. What’s going on? Does the this cost extra or something?

I’m just trying to wrap my head around how to try to fix this weird bug and don’t know PHP or CSS. I have a problem when I tried to upload new images using NextGEN basic slideshow. The slideshow works fine (so far), but I can’t upload any new images. When I try, I get the error message that it’s conflicting somehow with the Contact Form 7 plugin and it just won’t upload the images. The Contact Form 7 plugin seems to work as well, but i just can’t upload any new images to my site.

If I understand Coccinelle Poitiers’ comment, I need to find the PHP file under the plugin Editor that’s called ngg-config.php and then change
equire_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-load.php’);

to:

require_once( WP_LOAD_PATH . ‘wp-admin/admin.php’);

Is that right? I’m worried about doing it because I don’t know CSS or PHP at all, but I would like to be able to update my NextGEN gallery and add some new images to it.

Has anyone found any other ways around this bug? Also, if I want to upload new images to my site now, does it make sense that this is my only option for the time being?

After a few minutes, I tried logging in to the backend of the WP theme on another laptop and it would not let me log in and I could not log out on my own laptop at all. So I disabled the plugin. Please update this as I would love to be able to use it but am concerned about not being to log out on my laptop or log in using another person’s computer.

I tried switching to iframe and now some kind of black box appears, like it is trying to play the videos but still nothing appears but a black box with a red line at the bottom. Can you please help? The videos do exist on YouTube and are active and I followed the installation instructions and did not alter the defaults except to switch to iFrame.

What was happening, was when I copied and pasted the Product Widget Code into the Store page, the CSS theme spacing was pushing the store itself out of the page margins so it looked awful. The workaround I figured out was to try coping and pasting the Categories widget code into the page—since that would just put up the store’s categories in text form and nothing else. It worked, so the page viewer just sees 3 store categories to choose from and each category opens a gray-box window they can shop from.

I’ve read from other website forums some kind of CSS code-workaround, but I really am not familiar with CSS (just HTML and a little javascript) and couldn’t access the CSS from the WordPress CPanel or through FTP. I spent 4 hours or so resizing images and nothing stopped the blurry image issue and I have a paying customer who wants a simple e-commerce store with clear images. So I just deleted woocommerce yesterday and installed another one that seems to be working fine so far. I should say that I e-mailed WooCommerce directly and posted on several of their forums and got 1 response saying that they don’t work with non-paying customers. I love that woocommerce is so easy to install and set up and if the blurry images is okay, than it’s great. I finally deleted it yesterday and set up ecwid.

I just tried installing eShop and there is no Store or Shop page and no way I can find to create one to actually use as a Store or Shop page at which to direct shoppers to specific categories. Is there any kind of step-by-step instruction manual for this or video anywhere on how to actually set up eShop? I want visitors to see a page or section called Store or Shop and be able to pick product categories that they can choose from. How can this be created with eShop, if at all? I have been looking through quirm and youtube for videos and can’t find anything on just getting started.

The “documentation” with the plug in just tells you how to install it and that other pages are created, but it doesn’t tell you if it’s possible to create a page for an actual Shop or Store. Do I create a blank page called Shop or Store and then put the pages for each product under that category in WordPress?
