Thanks for responding. I will try installing All In One SEO Pack with BuddyPress and see what happens. I should enable “custom post types?” What would that necessarily do for a BuddyPress site as opposed to a typical WordPress installation? Just curious.
It created a box on my site that simply gives the name of the meetup group, how many members there are, the group logo, and a link to the next event.

In reply to: [WP Meetup] Horrible UpdateI’ve activated the plugin and deactivated the plugin and reactivated it multiple times and clicked the update know button multiple times and checked on the debug page. I’ll check back in the future, but for now, I’m ready to move on and try EventBrite or another plugin. It was a great plugin before that last update broke everything and now it simply doesn’t work.

In reply to: [WP Meetup] Horrible UpdateI just installed the latest update today, 01/03 and still no change. Nothing I do links to the meetup group, or any of the three meetup groups I have. I’ve deactivated the plugin since it doesn’t work and doesn’t look professional to have a calendar on my site that doesn’t effectively link to anything. Is there any way to get this plugin to work again?

In reply to: [WP Meetup] Invalid Group UrlI have the same issue, and probably need to deactivate the plugin and go with an EventBrite plugin until this one can be fixed.

In reply to: [WP Meetup] Horrible UpdateI have the same issue. I removed the slash and just have the meetup group URL and no matter what I do, it simply does not work any more. I have three meetup groups and none of them showed up on the calendar, (which instead links to the homepage, as chriskeith said). The calendar page does not show past events and does not link to the actual meetup group page itself. Somehow the update broke what was already working fine. Also the new interface taxonomy does not allow anywhere to enter in an API key (which may be why it does nothing but create a calendar table). You have the debug page, but unless someone is an advanced coder and comfortable tinkering with others’ plugins (which is not most people) it doesn’t add much usability.
For the immediate future, the plugin needs to be deactivated and replaced with either a manual listing of event links or an EventBrite plugin.

In reply to: [WP Meetup] Update Broke PluginOK. I updated the plugin and it stopped working completely. Nothing appeared on the page with the shortcode. So I checked and noticed the Meetup group URL had been removed. So I retyped in the URL and still nothing happened. No matter how many times I retyped in the correct URL, nothing ever appeared on the calendar again. It just stopped working, with no link to the meetup group, the API not doing anything.

In reply to: Question About Learning JavaScriptThanks for the link. I’ll read everything through and see what comes.

In reply to: Change my "If password required" function. STUCK!I’ve used an Artisteer theme. Created a password protected page, worked fine. Then I added some test JavaScript and the password no longer protected access to the page. Once I removed the JavaScript and changed the password to a new one, it looks fine again and operated. I’m still learning JavaScript. Is this something similar and tied to using an Artisteer theme or something else?
I actually decided to try just embedding the iframe code into the body of the page using the Text editor and it appears fine and seems to update automatically fairly quickly when I make changes to the form just on its own without an plugin. So, I’m very happy with that.
Now what would be a huge blessing would be a plugin that would somehow enable Google Docs to send me the results of the completed intake form after it has been completed in a formatted manner rather than sending me a link as it does now to a spreadsheet format. I know that’s another thing completely but I’m just going off on a tangent (maybe that’s why my profile picture is of an insane crab-like creature rather than a smiling normal-looking guy).

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] Failed to send your message. (orange border error)I’ve been having this same problem but do not use any kind of comment blacklist at all. I set the form to send e-mail to my domain name e-mail account and the plugin has worked well in the past for a long time but recently has become sporadic. Can you please Takayuki?
聖霊は、あなたと兄弟である。What’s the current status of this? I’ve thought of using this plugin but wanted to find out if it actually works reliably for those with it. What happened? Is there a URL whee it can be seen? Does the form work okay as long as you don’t try to update it?

In reply to: [Contact Form 7] No Longer WorksI keep getting the orange border error. I used GoDaddy but have the form send directly to my domain name e-mail address and the plugin has worked in the past. Is there any way to get help?
I do not have the hardware either, just two laptops. I tried looking up mobile theme emulators and found this site: https://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/ and that’s the one that I was going by.
My theme is supposed to be responsive and looks fine on some devices but on others the header image fade doesn’t work or the image is just white space or nothing at all. So based on the results from this online emulator I used this plugin and used the basic 2012 theme as the default mobile theme – just black text on white space. Looks very basic and cheap and the portfolio images don’t expand when you click on them (yet) but at least I now have something that registers on these mobile devices (which I hate because I can create the most detailed theme in the world and the mobile devices wreak havoc with them).

In reply to: [Membership Simplified] [Plugin: Membership Simplified] QuestionsApparently, if they want to charge $300 per month and someone wants to do that, it’s fine. Personally, I’ll try S2 membership and move on.
