In reply to: multisite and domain mapping wordpress.comOk… That makes sense.
Well I reinstalled the whole thing and I’m not going to use the multisite option. Easier that way…
Thanks anyway!Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: multisite and domain mapping wordpress.comFor some odd reason I couldn’t… First you have to pick a subdirectory url when you create a new blog, and when you import your old blog, it keeps the subdirectory url.
I tried to change the url to the old .wordpress.com one, and when I went on the blog page, the “server couldn’t be found”…
Plus, I realized my css edition parameters were gone !…Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: 403 Error due to .htaccessOk, but now that I have this index.html page as a maintenance page, I’d like to be able to work on my blog and being able to view my pages. How do I do that ?
I’ve tried (as read in a support post) to put index.php in the pages url. But it’s not working. I don’t want to have a WordPress page as a construction page but my static html page.
Thanks.Hi, I had the same problem but then found an easy solution :
Go to your .htaccess file at the root of your site directory (or create one if it doesn’t exist), then insert anywhere : DirectoryIndex yourtemporarypage.html
Then to connect to your admin account : https://yourdomain/wp-admin/index.php
That should work. ??

In reply to: 403 Error due to .htaccessOk, I got the answer from a friend. For those who are having the same problem, just enter in the search :
yourdomain/wp-admin/index.phpNow my next question is : when editing your blog, is there a way to visualize your pages and posts without it directing you to that index page ?
Thanks again,

Forum: Installing WordPress
In reply to: Data base and install problems – Please help !Update : Hmm… Seems that I managed to install WordPress, although not at the right place. Instead of creating a new blog in a new url, I used the domain name that we owned (cool, but my html page is gone…)
How do I get the url to point to my html page without messing up the WordPress install ?
The html page is at the root of my https://www.brotherfilms.fr directory.Thanks.
