In reply to: [MailChimp Widget] Empty mailing listI think that was one problem but they enabled it, the other one was that fsockopen is closed on this host and they don’t want to open it. You don’t happen to know a work around for that problem?

In reply to: [MailChimp Widget] Empty mailing listI have this same issue, can it be something host related?
because If I install mailchimp on the local version of my website it works but in the online version of teh sme site the select your mailing dropdown box is empty, maybe something gets blocked?Oke thanks glad I could help, I will install the bugfix and report back if there any problems
sorry I was unclear about that, the plugin didn’t disappear, what I meant was that the metabox on the edit page of a post or page isn’t visible.
the files are still in the pluggin folder and the plugin shows up in the plugin list and I just noticed the pluggin updates too.
I just checked everything again and I found the following things:
it seems that the migration set a lot of functions to off or 0 which are on in the default settings like showing the metabox and the Replacement text for galleries within post excerpts. I assumed that if that was the case a deactivation and activation or re-install would solve that problem and reset everything to default. but that didn’t happen
when I checked the “Display galleries within post excerpts?” box, which was also set to unchecked in the migration the galleries suddenly did show up, when I unchecked it they disappeared again.
the problem is that if you uncheck “Display galleries within post excerpts?” the galleries won’t show up in pages, it will show the text for excerpts,(which was also set to 0 so I assumed that was some weird error) I checked it with my live site and there it works the same. I just didn’t notice it before because when I installed the plugin the first time one of the first things I did was check that box. Almost all my galleries are on pages so I didn’t notice the galleries did work on posts ( only checked the overview page and not a full post).
is it suppose to work that way or is this a bug?

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] Custom templates stopped working…Yea I just figured that out , I didn’t realize the “standard” WordPress insert gallery button doesn’t give the right short-code. So I assumed that wasn’t necessary to add an extra option to the short-code
I realized then that the ones in your plugin menu do give the right short-code. but the fact you wrote “yes, those are click-able buttons :)” in your help file seems to tell that I am not the only one confused by this, maybe you should include an example of short-code in the help-file.
but now it works great, feels very robust and stable in contrast to some other plugins, so thanks for your help and the plugin. I will install the new version and give feedback if I notice something better or worse.:-)

In reply to: [File Gallery] [Plugin: File Gallery] Custom templates stopped working…hi,
I use file gallery Version 1.6.5.6 and WordPress 3.2.1. , as far as I can see that is the latest version of your plugin. I have put my gallery.css which is my template in a folder inside the file-gallery-templates folder and have given it the name of my template. I have changed my selector in the css from default to the name of the folder it resides in. The name of my template does show up in the file gallery template list and I have set it as my default. I use [gallery] to include the galleries in my posts and pages
but file-gallery keeps using the default gallery. In the source it only includes the default css style and there is no trace of my template
as far as I can see I have done everything right and I have no idea why it doesn’t work.
can you give me any clue why this is happening and what I may have done wrong?
