Host says everything fine/nothing changed. So must I conclude Facebook have suddenly changed the way they scrape? Very frustrating being stumped on this. Wondering what else I can try, even though nothing has changed on my end…

I have my paragraph formatted as a paragraph, but I still see this message. Any ideas why it still thinks the keyword isn’t there?

I switched to default theme, still wouldn’t work. Inserted og tags in default theme, still nothing.

Oh I should add – in the og tags I have specified an image to be used as a thumbnail as other articles advised me to, but it doesn’t show up. However, i would much prefer it if an image from each post could show up instead.

Could you explain what I should put/do regarding this line?

I have installed the plugin, but when I click the ‘like’ button, a link comes up on Facebook with just the Site title and site description. No thumbnail. Is there a way of making the specific post information come through?

So frustrating, wish I could be as it used to be on Facebook…

It has been like this for quite some time now – it seemed to be quite sudden and unexplained. I hoped upgrading might fix it, but it didn’t. Some people have told me it is a Facebook issue, rather than a WordPress one, but I don’t know.

– Do you know if this plugin will generate a thumbnail if I copy and paste a link to Facebook, or only when the like button is used?

I have the og tags in my header, but I will try adding this plugin – thank you.

Oh my apologies – perhaps that was not the best example. Although – could the featured image not come through as a thumbnail? The featured image I set for my posts appears on my front page with post description when I publish it.

I am happy for any image from a given post to display – in the past you could cycle through them and choose a thumbnail on Facebook, I take it that may not be possible any more, although I can do it for links from different sites…
