More… if I deactivate Feedwordpress I go to the 404 for a blog instead of to the blog

If I re-activate Feedwordpress I go to the error above.

So this should have gone in plugins? Sorry

Ok, I got the blogs back on other themes but a few themes are throwing up this error so something on these themes are being played with by the Feedwordpress plugin and not on other themes…. I really hope someone takes the time to help here ??

the redirection plugin did it to mine. soon as I removed that everything worked fine.

It wasnt the forum it was wordpress. Its now done EXACTLY the same thing with the new site I just spent ALL night building because I couldn’t get rid of the problem. As soon as I made a new page it has made that the front page and I cant change it!!

Its the pages that are doing it.

I tried changing theme to see if something had been added there, I have looked at the htaccess but cant see anything there…..

I made a new page and actually called it club8 making that the slug. It changed the slug to club8-2 and now reverts to that.

I am absolutely at my wits end. I have a really popular site which is now basically screwed except that I can make a blog page template there but that’s not fixing it and I don’t really want to do that as I need to fix it not hide it.

The only thing for me to do is scrap the whole site but I have had it 2 years and there is no way I want to lose all the work I have done there.

I’m totally lost what to do next… ??

I have no test site just my working site. I use plain wordpress3 and not sure what language localisation things you mean…the ones that came with wordpress3.

Now though I am having even more serious errors but not to do with your plugin so I will have to wait until that is fixed before worrying further about this one.

Ok I can answer that myself, it was the Buddypress addon. I have removed that and everything works fine in the admin again. Sorry about that.

Andrea, is that why I am making blogs using WP3 and in the admin they are linking to https://1stangel.co.uk/art/wp-admin/ms-sites.php?updated=true&action=add-blog&paged=2 instead of to the blog… when i try and visit the blog using blogs address as it should be, I get database error. However, if I make the blogs through the front end in stead, that works fine…..

did you disable your plugins first? I see that nearly all problems are because some plugins do not work with the new version. Go into your files and rename your plugins folder and see if that helps…if it does you will then need to do the plugins one at a time to see which work and which one doesnt

All looks fine and emails are sending, however it is not allowing people to sign up. It is sending them to the ‘you cant get in without an invite’ page when they click their invitation link.

Any suggestions?

I assumed as that theme was in the trunk BP that it worked, however I first tried the plugin in another theme and that didnt work either, same problem.

In answer to what you put on another post, as this is a seperate issue from that described there, perhaps we should keep it to this one that I started afterwards.

It just will not save anything at all. You are very welcome to come on over and have a look on mine if you wish. I deleted eveything and have even removed all plugins etc etc… nothing works…after trying to make one I get taken back to the main page if I click anything to do with groups, it shows the wrong address and wont save the group blog. I may have to give up entirely I think. I have done everything.
