Sorry I didn’t notice you left message here. Search by meta was planned at first, but somehow I found the SQL queries can be very inefficient since I basically can’t guess what to find. I’ll keep in mind that users would find it useful with meta search. Maybe someday I’ll find a solution to implement it.

To be honest, I think it works like “normal”, they both make meta boxes display on the left side of screen.
