Resolved. Upgraded Pinboard theme to version 1.1.8, and it fixed things w/o messing anything up.

Eureka! Figured it out. Went to my hosting acct thru godaddy, and turns out that I can disable mobile site there thru Hosting Details. That solved everything.

Thanks. I disabled JetPack in my plugins (although I never activated JetPack before). Not sure where dudamobile is coming from, but I went ahead and disabled the plugins automatically uploaded via my host (godaddy). Essentially, the only plugins I have now are a contact plugin and a facebook plugin.

Tried the site on my phone, and it’s still defaulting to mobile redirect, and it’s still presenting the option to go to Classic. Going to Classic and clicking on other links is still taking me to dudamobile page not found message.

Sigh…

This has the removed line put back in (around 1300), done when I was unsuccessfully trying to figure things out on my own yesterday.

Please let me know what you think about how to get the Category and Description to show, but not the “Currently Browsing” text.

It’s still missing the category and description.

Hi, I just came across this old thread and it helped me to delete the “Currently browsing category” text wonderfully. Thank you. However, in doing so, it also deleted my category Description that was previously showing.

It used to appear:

Currently browsing category
CATEGORY 1
Description text would then appear here.

After deleting the line recommended above from my functions.php, it deleted all of the above. How do I get just the Category and the Description to still appear? Want it to look like this:

CATEGORY 1
Description text would then appear here.
