False alarm – sorry!
I thought I had updated this plugin to v2.5.0, but when I got the site running again it seems to have remained on v2.4.4.
Is working fine now.
I am marking this issue as resolved.
I did come up with a fix but @mrclayton has implemented similar code into the Stripe plugin, and that works just fine. Many thanks.
Mr.Clayton
Thank you for your prompt response. Names can be diverse. My problem, or rather my client’s, is that we are losing part of the name. So that E-mails sent to the customer start ‘Hello MR’, or similar, which don’t look very professional. Also we don’t have a name for addressing packages for delivery.
Ideally we would like the whole name stored somehow. I think a good compromise would be to split the CC name on the last space character, put the last word in ‘Last name’ and everything else in ‘First name’.
I have had a through the source code and found, what I think is, the relevant code in ‘assets/js/frontend/wc-stripe.js’ in the ‘wc_stripe.CheckoutFields.prototype.name’ method. I had a little play in a test environment and it seems to be the right spot.
I don’t really want to change the code as it will likely get lost on the next update, but may consider something to replace that method.
P.S. Despite this I am going to give your plugin a 5 star rating as it is an excellent product.
…
Thanks for the swift response.
I may upgrade to the premium version; comments were definitely nice to have, though I don’t have a need for other premium features.
