  • Sometimes, you just have to start again and build afresh when developing plugins. I assume that this is what has happened in this case. I also noticed that this new plugin is a collaboration whilst qtranslate has only a single developer.

Yes, I suppose that, and I also noticed a second developer. That’s good because maybe they can help each other or develop it faster, but what should we do know? How is the migration process? Is this stable? I’ll wait a bit more, but I hope they provide some more information about it ??

Hi. I forked it by myself. Author didn’t accepted my fixes for a long time so I decided to do this.
This fork is fully compatible with original plugin but contains such fixes, improvements and rewritten JS code which works better.

Hi Vavoon, I installed and active zTranslate with WordPress ver.3.9.3
But I did not see any language icon on any pages including new page.
Please advise how to use your plugin.

    Did you install qTranslate before?
Do you see language selector at top right corner (in admin panel)?

Yes I had qTranslate before, that the language tabs were there, that I can choose to put in the content for each language I chose.
But after I installed and actived zTranslate, when I open a post or page,I do not see any language tab.
Do you mean I have to install qTranlate to work with this plugin together?

Maybe you need to add zTranslate widget first.
You also need to change Flag Image Path to plugins/ztranslate/flags/ in preferences.

    Hello!

I installed it, but i can’t activate it… Error fatal.

    lydiamunoz,
You need to deactivate qTranslate first.

Ah! ok! And if I deactivate qTranslate can i lose something?

    Plugin Author Vavooon

    (@vavooon)

    No

    Ok! Done!

And what can you say me about plugin qTranslate Slug? Can i follow using it?

Now I see all in white… Your plugin doesn’t work in my wordpress…. I am going to have to deactivate and come back to qTranslate. Do you suggest any more?

    The error in log is:

[Tue Jun 17 12:32:09 2014] [warn] [client 79.157.178.173] mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function qtrans_getLanguage() in … /wp-content/themes/centreal-child/header.php on line 489

    I haven’t tested qTranslate Slug.
    Please change qtrans_getLanguage to ztrans_getLanguage.
Do the same changes for other qtranslate functions in your theme.
