• Hi Marcus / Events Manager,

    I’ll say it again, I think the Events Manager plugin is pretty darn fabulous and flexible. Now with the Zoom api addition it’s even cooler ??

    Events Manager: Version 5.9.10
    Events Manager Zoom: Version 1.2

    I’ve git the Zoom app connected and it all seems to work great (mostly).
    When you create a new event with Zoom as the location, the passcode is not properly updated on the Zoom side.

    If you look at the meeting details displayed in the WordPress event editing page and the same event in Zoom, the initial passcode is correct and will update if you change it from the WordPress side. The passcode listed below the phone dial-in numbers seen on the Zoom side however is not correct nor is it updated when the passcode is changed on the WordPress side.

    And a related question…

    I’ve got the place holders:
    #_EVENTLOCATION{id}
    #_EVENTLOCATION{join_url}
    #_EVENTLOCATION{password}
    These are the critical meeting details but what is the placeholder for the selected dial-in phone numbers to include them in the email sent to the customer?

    Other than that, Very Nice!

    Oh boy, am I an idiot ??

    I think I will claim I was rather tired earlier when working on this but it did finally hit me. Strong alphanumeric passcodes are being created but it’s really tough to type in a “%” or “$” on a phone keypad. If the passcode is changed to numeric only, the same passcode is used for the meeting and phone dial-in.

    Still would be good to know the placeholders for the dial-in numbers and the dial-in passcode when it is not set to be the same as the main meeting passcode.

    Now to research how I can force the api call to generate only numeric passcodes.

    Thanks

    We’re just reviewing past threads to help resolve them and then hopefully new forum posters will read our recently created sticky post at the top of this forum, asking users to direct questions to our Events Manager plugin forum instead, which we monitor daily!

    Dial-in numbers aren’t available as an API call to Zoom, it seems they’ve not implemented it as per this thread (even though it’s old) – https://devforum.zoom.us/t/how-to-retrieve-dial-in-numbers-of-a-meeting/3504

    It is possible, however, to obtain dial-in data via the email template if I remember correctly, we’ll look into doing that at some point.
