Zoom doesn't work with little support

  • Been having a problem with Zoom functions not working. The map zooms in 1 level to far and when I increase the zoom level 1 time, it jumps two times. Even though Cici is fairly quick to respond most of what i get is “it works – check the documentation” or “pay the $250 membership fee and maybe it’ll work then”. It doesn’t work and I’ll be looking for a better solutions. And they closed my support thread so I can no longer respond on that thread.

    @gusthefish – your notes about my support people asking you to pay $250 to get it to work is a false representation of the facts. CiCi misunderstood what you were asking for as she noted in that thread. She thought you were looking to deal with Google’s autozoom NOT the zoom tweak setting. She told you as much in your thread and indicated that the Experience add-on or Enhance Search add-on would not be necessary. She even asked you to update SLP to see if it would fix the issue. When it did not she understood brought the issue to my attention and followed up saying that the zoom tweak feature was being addressed.

    In addition you have another thread open on the topic and CAN continue to discuss and follow up on the issue. Your rating here makes it sound like we are trying to rip you off by charging money for something to address an issue you brought to our attention. That is ABSOLUTELY not the case.

    Related to the issue at hand , I posted an article today as to why zoom tweaking was adjusting by one zoom level based on the prior releases of the Google Maps API. There is an update to SLP coming this week with a patch to allow the zoom tweak to work as intended with the newer Google API.

    May I add that the initial post in SLP forum was not just about zoom, you were also asking about another feature that is not part of the base SLP nor part of the other add-ons …you wanted to hide/show/results functionality as well. That is why I closed the first post and when you started the next post about just the zoom you immediately went into bash mode. I was not trying to up sell you. .I was letting you know if you wanted the three Legacy add-ons that hadd all the separate features that the new EXP add-on was your best bet since it addresses all of that and more functionality and is the way forward. I also mentioned it as a suggestion and did not tell you that you “had to buy it” and it isn’t a “membership” fee. You are confusing the EXP add-on with Premier subscription, that is totally different set up and has a separate forum, additional “exclusive to Premier members” features and upgrades not available elsewhere.
