  • Thank you Daniel for your answer. Good to see you’re working on a fix. Your plugin is great.

Max. execution time is not the problem. I set it from 0 to 30 (seconds), but I get still the ZIP_ERROR with beta5 while the whole script runs only 5 seconds!

Still having same issue on most of websites ??
and only log file, no backup.

Sorry, but i need mor information or an account where i can test for it.

    Hi Daniel

I had to reinstall my wp-site https://www.magoster.com. Before Backwpup ran well. But now I see the same error-msg (er-deleted…etc.). Max exec time is 30, this setting does not have any effect on the msg.
I see you are doing your best to find a solution, hope you’ll succeed!.

It seems that an zip-archive is created nevertheless. It seems complete. But can you confirm that this archive is reliable?

    Thanks!

No, i can not. Can You try to use a tar archive ?

    Daniel

The tar-archive executes fine. Also much faster. But it creates an archive of 72MB in stead of 32Mb as ZIP.

I have other sites that are more important to me (www, magoster.nl and https://www.vakantiehuisverhuur.eu). The site https://www.magoster.com also serves as sort of test-environment. I am prepared to give you access to that site if you need an environment where this error occurs. Should that help?

By-the-way: I had to restore to the former WP-release, I think it was 3.8.2.
I want to create (and see) a stable situation for a few days before I re-install WP 3.9.

Yes, it schuld help. Email me at d dot huesken at inpsyde dot com

Hello Daniel i have 4 websites running with BackWPup but i have on all websites “ZipArchive returns status: (ER_DELETED) Entry has been deleted” :/

To those who experience this problem:

Daniel (author) and me maintain an emailchannel in order to solve this. The problem however is unruly. An automated backup of one of my other sites suddenly ran into the same error. A manual rerun a few hours later ran smoothly as ever. So it feels almost like chasing ghosts.

Any progress on solving this problem?

No I don’t think so. I did not hear from the author anymore.

I am afraid that it is almost impossible to find a cause. This error message comes but often disappears when the backup is re-executed. So it seems that accidental external circumstances have influence. But what, when, why?

    Hi,
I am having the same issue and saving as tar.gz is giving me some issues with my clients product names (too long).

Any timeline on when this will be fixed?
Thanks for the plug-in, its always been my go-to.
    Diana

Thanks for the update, Rudolph. Yes, that’s been my experience too–sometimes it works fine, and other times it doesn’t. And no one wants an unreliable backup.

Daniel, have you contacted the Zip program vendor to try to work out a solution? The errors may be on their end, and maybe the vendor can help solve them, or at least work around them.
