    Been using UpdraftPlus Backup/Restore for years. Just this week, I failed to get a weekly backup on Friday and found my “Last log message” reads “Zip size is at/near split limit (395.7 MB / 400 MB) – bumping index (from: 2) (Apr 02 18:05:31). My backups have always gone into my DropBox/Apps folder and I have plenty of room there. In the Expert Settings panel I have the “Split archives every:” set to the default of 400 mg. I tried clicking on the Backup Now button but that produced the same “Zip size is at/near split limit (399.8 MB / 400 MB) – bumping index (from: 0) (Apr 03 15:05:40)” Can you please advise me on how to proceed?

    Hi Paul,

    There is nothing you need to do in response to seeing that message in your logs; it does not indicate any kind of problem, but is routine recording of backup progress.

    Hi David,

    Thank you but I did fail to get a weekly backup written to my Dropbox /apps folder and I was unable to “Backup Now” which makes me think I do have some sort of problem.

    Coincidentally today I found an update to Version 1.16.53 (from Version 1.16.51) in my WP plugins panel so I updated thinking it might solve my problem. My site crashed and I received an automated email from WP with a recovery mode link. I disabled Updraft Plus Backup/Restore and now my site is functional again.

    Currently UpDraft Plus Backup/Restore is disabled. What do you suggest? Thank you.

    Hi,

    Please can you update to latest version 1.16.53? If the backup still fails to complete, can you send us a copy of the backup log?

    Hi Bryle,

    Version 1.16.51 stopped working for me (it was unable to create a backup.) When I clicked “update to version 1.16.53” my site crashed. I relaunched in WP recovery mode, turned off my five active plugins and was then able to update and backup manually. Hoping it will create next scheduled backup
