    Hello,
The problem is as described in the title. My backups to local storage on the server seem to work fine. I can download them to my computer and extract them if I DO NOT upload to dropbox.

On the other hand, files uploaded to dropbox seem all to be broken. They can not be extracted. I think it might be related to this:

    0047.328 (0) Dropbox chunked upload: 39.4 % uploaded (AAAAAAAABELYVjMCxu17Mg, 5226496, 3584 KB)
0047.333 (0) PHP event: code E_WARNING: fwrite(): Unable to create temporary file, Check permissions in temporary files directory. (line 161, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Dropbox/API.php)
    0051.411 (0) Dropbox chunked upload: 55.1 % uploaded (AAAAAAAABELYVjMCxu17Mg, 7315456, 4096 KB)
    0054.396 (0) Dropbox chunked upload: 60.3 % uploaded (AAAAAAAABELYVjMCxu17Mg, 8004326, 1536 KB)
    0057.339 (0) Recording as successfully uploaded: backup_2016-08-17-1036_WanderDude_cb509ea2c4f7-db.gz (4e3fc5556b1d4e8a8745d8866fa0996a)
    0057.347 (0) Deleting local file: backup_2016-08-17-1036_WanderDude_cb509ea2c4f7-db.gz: OK
    0057.348 (0) Dropbox: File upload success (backup_2016-08-17-1036_WanderDude_cb509ea2c4f7-db.gz): 12960 KB in 21s (610 KB/s)

First thing there is a problem with the temporary folder. Second it seems to think it’s done uploading to early cause it makes around 10% steps and after 60% it says it’s done.

Thanks for helping, guys. Appreciate it.

    Hi,

How are you accessing the files in Dropbox? Are you downloading them directly from Dropbox or through UpdraftPlus?

Could you also contact your hosts and ask them to check the file permissions of the temporary files directory of the site?
