    Hi,

    We’ve using the ‘Bulk Download for Gravity Forms’ add-on but it seems to have stopped working in the last couple of weeks.

    When we click on the ‘Bulk download all files’, either in the back end of the WP entry or in an email, we get the following error message:

    “Windows cannot open the folder.
    The Compressed (zipped) Folder ‘C:\Users\……..’ is invalid.”

    It downloads the zip file, but the error shows when trying to open the file.

    We are also not able to open zipped files from emails before the issue started.

    Hello @nhadmin,

    lets try to figure out where the problem is.

    So which version of the plugin do you use?
    Did you test the download on another device?
    Have you problems to open other zip-files or only the once from the plugin?

    Thanks – in response to your points:

    We’re using Version 3.0.0.
    Yes, we have various teams who all use separate devices to download the zip files and it’s stopped working for all.
    We can open all other zip files as normal, it’s only the ones from this plugin we can not longer open.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    as a fix, please downgrade to an earlier version. We will check if we can reproduce the error.

    Hi,
    I’ve rolled it back to 1.0 and turned off all other plugins (except for Gravity Forms) and it still seems to be happening. Could it be a conflict with the WP version?

    I’m stumped!

    Which php version you use?
    Which WP version?
    Do you change the zip extension at your server?
    We’ve test it at one of our customers site after your questions and there is no problem to download and open a 100mb zip file.

    How big are the zip files? maybe you can try it with a complete clean installation on an other server?

    What server you use? Linux or Windows?

    Hi,

    I’ve replied to the following, though if you need anything else just let me know.

    Which php version you use? 7.4
    Which WP version? 5.9.4
    Do you change the zip extension at your server? Nope, it remains .zip
    How big are the zip files? Usually between 10kb – 10mb
    What server you use? Linux or Windows? Linux (ubuntu 20.04)

    did you use any special character in the file name or entries?

    With zip extension I mean which linux module do you use to create a zip.
    Our Plugin use ZipArchive to create the zip file, maybe it is outdated on the server.

    It would be nice if it is possible to get an export of the form and maybe some test entries (no live data from your customers) so we can check where the problem is.
    Some last questions.
    Where did the error happen? Download files from a single entry or bulk all entries? When it is a single entry then in the list view or within the entry?

    Hi,

    The file name structure we use will be something like ‘marketing-get-a-quote-90717.zip’ (using the form name and then a number generated for the entry).

    Our server (hosted by Kinsta) say Gzip, Zip, and Tar are supported.

    Sure, do you have an email I can share the form details with?

    The error happens in the entry (in back end of Gravity Forms) when you click ‘Bulk download all files’ (under the ‘Bulk Download’ section). And it also happens when you click ‘Download all files for this entry’ in the email (form notification).

    Hello, we thought that it was a server problem, we test it at our different systems and didn’t get an error. I don’t know if @nhadmin fixed it.
