For us to know the cause of the issue, please could you send us a copy of the latest backup log? This can be found in the UpdraftPlus Existing Backups tab.

The contents will be too long to post here directly, but you can use an online service such as Dropbox or Pastebin, and post the link here.

The error begin returned by PHP to UD is a ‘general write error’. Do you have enough free space in your hosting account to create the backup? (See: https://updraftplus.com/faqs/how-much-free-disk-space-do-i-need-to-create-a-backup/)

That solved the problem. I use chunks of 200MB now and the backup works again.
