• I have been trying to contact mailpoet technical support since a week, I still couldn’t find a way. We are a paid customers, I submitted a request on paid customer help form but no response at all. It’s crazy how these people are careless! I am still unable to find a solution, the issue we are facing is “MailPoet: Error while sending. Bulk emails are forbidden for the sender address

    Hi there @devrathankumar,

My apologies for the delay in responding, we are facing an unusually high backlog of support requests. I did an internal search but was not able to find a ticket from you – can you confirm the URL of the affected site and the email address used to raise the ticket so I can track that down?

In the meantime, the error you describe is most likely caused by a need to Authenticate your Domain. This is a new requirement for 2024 based on changes to sending requirements by Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, and others.

Most large email providers such as these do not allow you to send mass emails using their addresses as the “from” address. Previously, we allowed this because our system would rewrite your “from” address in this case with an alias to get around this, but we can no longer do this for accounts with more than 100 subscribers.

To correct this issue you will need to do two things:

    • Authenticate your Domain and
    • change your “from” email away from a Gmail/Yahoo style email to a domain-specific email, such as [email protected]

To authenticate your domain, you will need to add additional fields to your domain’s DNS settings to authenticate it with both MailPoet and add DMARC information, which is an industry standard. You will require someone with administrative access to your domain, in the account where it is registered, to make these changes.

You can find out more about how to add these fields to your website here:

    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/188-how-to-set-up-mailpoet-sending-service

And there more information on how these work here:

    https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/295-spf-dkim-dmarc

Once you have added these fields to your website, any and all email addresses tied to your domain would be automatically authenticated for sending.

If required, we strongly recommend changing your “From” address on your emails to a domain-specific email such as [email protected]. Sending from a generic address such as a Gmail address can again result in an increase in spam reports due to recent changes in policy by Gmail and Yahoo.

You can change your main “From” address under MailPoet > Settings on the “General” tab; however, if you have recurring email templates such as Post Notification emails or Automation emails, the “From” setting on each will need to be updated as well.
