Also, it’s not recommended to edit your theme’s files directly, as you’ll lose those changes if the theme is ever updated in the future, to fix bugs or security issues or to add new features. Instead, you should use a custom CSS plugin or your theme’s built-in custom CSS option, if one exists.

If your theme has a built-in custom CSS option, use it; otherwise, get a custom CSS plugin and put:

.navbar-inverse .navbar-nav>li>a:hover {
	background-color: red;
	color: white;
}

That’s for your navigation links. I’m afraid I’m not sure what you’re trying to do with your header; can you clarify exactly what you’re trying to do there?

What about the header? I’ll change opacity: 0.5; and background: #000000;

Add something in your css class like this:

opacity: 0,5;
background-color: #000000;
}
