I have two megaMenus setup in my main navigation menu at the top of my site. They are located under the “Find Dealers” and the “Products” tabs. When I click either tab and drop down the MegaMenu, I can see just the top of a slider image behind my MegaMenu, playing in the right sidebar, but not the whole slider image. Just the top third.

I have set the z-index of the menu to 9999999 and am able to see that it is indeed set for that when I inspect the menu in Chrome. But it makes no difference. I still see the partial slider image behind my lower right portion of the MegaMenu.

The slider in question is the Meta Slider plugin with the Nivo Slider option picked as the slider player.

    Thanks All!

    Hi Graphics,

    Thanks for posting a link.

I’ve checked in Chrome and FF and it’s looking OK to me.

Did you resolve the issue already? If not please can you let me know which browser you’re using and post a screenshot showing exactly where I need to look?

Sometimes it is not enough to change the z-index on the menu – sometimes the z-index needs to be changed on the container that holds the menu (or any of it’s parents), and sometimes it needs to be changed on the content itself (the slider in this case).

    Thanks
    Tom

Hello @megamenu. As always, super fast response from you. Thanks!

I checked your response and that prompted me to try other browsers and machines, which I should have already done. I found that only the Chrome installation on my personal machine was making this happen. I updated Chrome and I now have no problem.

Thanks for sending me in the correct direction. Love the plugin!

I have included link to a “pre-update” screenshot of Chrome and the problem it was causing just in case someone else has the same problem and will know to troubleshoot by checking other browsers and machines, and updating their Chrome browser if needed.

Here is the screenshot link. Screenshot
