Hello, I’ve noticed my database has leftovers from Yoast. How can I clean this?

Here’s an alert related to yst_prominent_words, preventing me from correctly configuring my amp pages: https://nimb.ws/HFuvEY

Can you take a look? (I can provide credentials if needed).

    Kind regards

Our development team is aware of the issue and has implemented an upgrade routine in the plugin that will automatically clean up old unused database items (like yst_prominent_words). This routine will be included in Yoast SEO v17.4. Unfortunately, we do not have an estimated time for the release of this version.

Thanks but it’s been years since I’ve used Yoast. I don’t have it anymore. How can I clean these leftovers directly?

    Hey!

If you are no longer using Yoast SEO on the site, you can remove all *_yoast_ database tables from your database, including *_yoast_prominent_words.

    Hi,

If you want to remove all traces of our plugins, you’ll need to do the following:

    1. Please search the database for entries containing wpseo and manually remove the data.
    2. Please search the database for entries containing wp_yoast and manually remove the data. Those entries are:

    • wp_yoast_indexable
    • wp_yoast_indexable_hierarchy
    • wp_yoast_migrations
    • wp_yoast_primary_term
    • wp_yoast_prominent_words (note: only available in Yoast SEO Premium)
    • wp_yoast_seo_links
    • wp_yoast_seo_meta
    • You can learn more about it here – https://yoast.com/help/how-can-i-uninstall-my-plugin/#database

If you are not sure how to remove these terms, we suggest contacting your host provider for more information.

    Please don’t close the ticket.

I’ve followed your recommended steps, but the problem persists. The oficial WordPress AMP plugin still can’t generate /amp/ posts, due to the conflict with yoast_prominent_words: https://imgur.com/a/fZBGQ3R

    What else can I do?
