• Hi there,

Would be SO grateful if anyone could help – but it appears my Youtube videos do not appear when a user is using IE9. It works fine on all other browsers.

Stuggled to find an answer (I’m not especially technical), but does anyone know a way to resolve the issue?

    Any help gratefully received!

  • Hi, could you go to https://demo.status301.net/easy-fancybox-sandbox/escaping-youtube in IE9 and try some of the test links there? Are they working? If so, then there might be another error occurring on your site in IE9 that subsequently blocks all other script execution after that…

I don’t have IE9 to test with. Can you see a yellow triangle with exclamation mark in the browsers lower left corner at some point during a visit to your web page? If so, click it to see the error message. It might tell more… or not.

Those links work, but its not working on my site. I’m not getting any error messages on my site either.

Click on the Youtube logo here: https://www.insight4grc.com/testie9/

It’s should open a cat video (which it does on other browsers – just not IE9).

    Any ideas?

Sorry to say I do not have IE9 to see the issue. Is there no lightbox opening at all or does it open but does the PDF not get displayed?

Have you tried disabling all other plugins? In Chrome I see some messages coming from the Tidio Chat Client script but they are not blocking errors. However, in IE9 this might be different.

    Hi there,

It’s Youtube video that aren’t popping out in IE9 (no lightbox). I’ve turned off the Chat – but I still get the same issue I’m afraid.

Not really using any other plug-ins (aside from the usual Yoast ones).

Maybe there’s a better way to add a link to an image that will get around this and trigger the lightbox?

Have you tried switching minification off in W3TC?
