• Hola a todos! / Hello everybody!

    I’m trying to insert a YouTube video in a post but WP 2.0.2 doesn’t allow me. I’ve tried writing the code using the Rich Editor and without using it. But the videos don’t work. Do you know how could I do this?

  • Im fighting with that already the whole day. I know I will get it to work, but not when.

    It working find for me.

    @ simplyanna,
    I’ve seen it when I whas at your site. So now Im sure it will work out, but until now whit no positive result.

    usually underneath the video on youtube.com there like a box or something that give you either the link to the video on the site or the code of the video to put on your site.

    Does that make sense?

    Why limit yourself to just one video, when you can have an entire youtube gallery on your site.

    https://rane.hasitsown.com/blog/plink/technical/27/wordpress-youtube-video-gallery-plugin/

    1. activate plugin
    2. use “plain” editor
    3. click on the button to add a video
    4. specify video id (the thing after the v= of the video url)

    @ Anna,
    I hope you dont think Im that dum. The code is just not working on my site

    VaamYob – cool ?? thank for the plugin.

    red-star – i just copy the code and paste it into the writing area.

    p.s: have visual rich editor deactivate.

    not working at mine too but i saw many wp2.0 user got it working fine .

    littleoslo, it’s true. But it’s not working on 2.0.2

    Exactly, I have 2.0.2 and it’s not working.

    I fix this problem in WP 2.0.2:

    1.- In admin panel, deactivate “Use the visual rich editor when writing” in “User” – “your profile”..

    2.- Deactivate “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically ” in “options” – “writing”.

    Ready.. you can use “Embeddable Player” from youtube:

    Example:
    ———————————————
    <center> TEST VIDEO
    <BR>
    <object width=”425″ height=”350″><param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/G6FPE0Lpd0o”></param><embed src=”https://www.youtube.com/v/G6FPE0Lpd0o&#8221; type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”425″ height=”350″></embed></object>
    </center>
    ———————————————

    Cheers

    Suddenly today the My Tube plug in causes the whole blog to lock. I can access admin pages, but not the blog itself. This includes pages that do not include the youtube content. The page just sits there endlessly loading with no result. Eventually it stops with a blank page.

    Disabling the plug in makes the site work again, less the you tube support of course. Upgrading to the latest build did not solve the problem.

    Hey all,

    I drove myself crazy today because I wanted to easily embed YouTube while keeping the WYSIWYG editor turned on. I figured out how and did a write-up. Thought I’d track down fellow frustrated wordpressers and let you know that it’s been done, and fairly easily:

    I have private videos hosted on YouTube that I want to be able to display embedded on my blog. I’m using the wpvideo plugin, which works great. Thing is, *I* can play a private video in the blog, but when someone else tries it from another machine, the video image comes up, but it only says “loading…” when they click on the play button. I don’t suppose there’s a way around this?
