Youtube video stops playing after 2 seconds

  • If I insert a youtube video in the banner, the video plays for 2 seconds automatically and then stops. People have cick somewhere on the website to let it start playing again but there is not even a playbutton visable. People will have scrolled before clicking somewhere so they won’t see the video.

    Uploading a video instead has also no use because of mobile cropping failures.

    We investigated your question and discovered some facts about it.

    Chrome does not allow a video to autostart if it is not muted. For more it read the autoplay policy from this link.

    If you mute the YouTube video, then the video doesn’t stop after a few seconds. There is no need to click anywhere.

    To mute the video, find the wpkites-slider-section.php file located in Spicebox Plugin folder >>inc folder >>wpkites folder >>sections, Open the file and find the code on line no 29.

    Super thanks, it is working!

    I thought: then I’ll just add seperate audio. The only place I could find where I can add audio is in the footer. It doesnt auto play on the main page with the video but it works on other pages (where there is no video). Do you have a workaround for this as well?

    We have checked your website footer section, and the video isn’t playing automatically on the other pages. The behaviour of the video is the same on all the pages.

    Let me are you want to add audio file in the footer bar.
