Youtube video playing but no picture – Andoid Mobile Browser

That sounds like an issue in your Android browser rather than anything to do with WordPress or the theme.

i thought maybe that was the issue but checking on browserstack, it seems that android browser itself have nothing to with the issue because the video doesnt even showing up on there. this is strange

Try embedding a YT video in a plain test.html file and checking that with your Android browser.

I forgot to mention, the YT video is playing normally when viewed on an actual android 4.0(ICS) device. however, the issue occurs on an actual Samsung galaxy S3 device and also no avail on most ICS android browsers on browserstack including JellyBean.

also ive tried your suggestion. ive Embedded a yt video on a plain html file and i got negative result on browserstack but totally working fine on actually android 4.0. this going nuts.

I don’t have access to a Samsung galaxy S3 device but if the video is fine in all browsers except one specific one – then the issue has to be in that browser.

my apologies for responding late. okay, i used a plugin and i also made a separate embed using iframe but similar result. So the galaxy s3 can see YT videos on a different wp installation but not on the link above. my guess was I did something wrong on that site. any ideas?

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

yeah i did isolate the problem by deactivating plugins. however, it didnt fix the issue.

anyway, i reinstalled wordpress and i somehow got rid of that issue. seems to be the problem from previous installation.
