  • I have possibly the same issue, or similar. It seems like the module gets stuck at times in a no-load state. We do not see errors, the video simply will not play to a blank background. In our case, though, this is not a consistent behavior as at times it loads fine, on the same target video. Normally I would think it buffering/load time or some other connectivity related cause, but it seems more like an initialization failure as it will never load when it is doing this if you just wait. Reloading or bringing up a different browser often will yield different results. I am planning to do some more triage, more widely varied size and format of videos to see if I can point to a root cause, but hopefully it’s already a known issue that just needs a patch.

    Dear support forum,

I also just installed this plugin and placed id but I only see a white screen. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.

@zazoutotaal I notice that your Youtube module is placed just outside of your Section, not inside. You might try moving it into the Section and see if that works for you (and of course make sure it’s set to enabled in the Custom CSS setting)

No clue if that is it, but I figured I would make the observation just in case it helps. ??

I’m having this issue as well. Followed the instructions for this page:

    https://shovelthesidewalk.com/ytbackground_test/

I’m using something else for a background right now but it’s killing my page load speed. This is much faster when it works, which unfortunately isn’t very consistent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Please try the new version. It includes many improvements and also the possibility of use vimeo instead of youtube.

    Greetings!
