Youtube Video not Appearing

  • The YouTube embed feature is no longer showing up on any of our pages. I have done the following to try to resolve the issue:

    1. Read through the forum here and attempted two fixes. 1) Finding the file with the lowercase “h” and changing to an uppercase “H”. 2) Uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled, gave me fields back to input the media info but still doesn’t appear.
    2. Changed theme to basic WP theme. Not fixed.
    3. deactivated all other plugins. not fixed

    Anything to help would be greatly appreciated.

  • We are using the latest version and our embed YouTube videos show up fine.

    I assume you copied the code correctly and put it in the correct location.

    Yes, I tried a few different times. Neither the video link or embed code sections are working for us. I tried changing the media player to see if that might help things but still nothing.

    Hi – I just discovered this issue today on my WordPress 5.4.2 and it seems like the text editor is the default for the embed code rather than the wysiwyg editor. I downgraded the Sermon Manager plugin to 2.15.15 and it was back to normal.

    On another site the 2.16 plug works fine for WordPress 5.5

    Thanks Al, yea I tried updating to Ver 2.16 and is took the site down, had to delete the plugin completely. Where did you get a copy of 2.15.15 to load to WP?
