YouTube video no longer showing preview image

Hi,

I’m using a Gutenberg block called “YouTube” in an article to embed a video. For a long time, the preview image of the video displayed fine but today I noticed this image is missing – showing instead a grayed out video block with a play button in the middle.

The video still plays back when you click the play button, but the lack of preview image gives the wrong impression about availability of the video.

Other embedded YT videos on the site display preview images fine.

Is there anything I can do to get this preview image showing again using Gutenberg? Thanks
