Youtube Video is not blocked / not showing any placeholder

    Also, on our website, youtube videos are not blocked / not showing any kind of place holder (where user can give consent).

    There is consent banner from Complianz right at the bottom on the page on website. Even if user clicks “Deny” on this banner , still youtube video can be played (it does not show any banner or any place holder where user can give consent).

    “Place holder” for youtube is checked in Complianz settings.

    Any help will be great.

    Hi @wal99,

    Does it concern ‘default’ YouTube embeds, or is there a specific plugin that you use to embed the video’s on your site? If the site uses Elementor, the “Elementor” integration must also be enabled under Complianz > Integrations > Script Center > Plugins in order to block YouTube video’s on Elementor pages.

    Hi,

    Many thanks for your reply. We are using “Youtube” Element from Avada Theme, our theme is Avada. And we are using youtube-nocookie url (if it helps). Stills only consent place holder is shown on youtube videos.

    Could you please let me know if I have to make any special changes in Complainz – Integrations – Plugins to make it work.

    I would be very thankful for any help.

    Hi @wal99,

    I don’t fully understand what you mean by ‘still only consent placeholder is shown on YouTube videos’, if the YouTube video’s would not be getting blocked, as per your original post.

    Could you provide a link to the website, so we can take a look for ourselves?

    Sorry, that was a typo. I wanted to write “Still NO consent place holder is shown on youtube videos”.

    Hi @wal99,

    Not a problem, that clarifies it.

    Had you also seen my question about providing an URL to the website, so we can take a look at the current behavior? We will then check if we can spot the cause of the issue by just looking at the front-end of your site.

    If not, we’ll have to obtain the Avada theme ourselves, set-up a test environment and reproduce the issue.
