Youtube video image not showing…

However, as soon as one clicks on the navigation arrows to manually move to next video, the thumbnail disappears (albeit as per before the video will play if clicked on). Could the videos NOT be loading on the first loading of the page????

Hi Kevin,

That sounds like an issue with YouTube and the plugin in general, rather than a server problem. I know YouTube have recently made some updates so maybe the API which this was using is not the same anymore, you should consult the developer of the plugin to rectify these issues.

Hi Lee, the response your host support team provided can be valid. If many using this plugin were experiencing the same issue as you there would have been many support thread started with the same issue.

I guess you could try the following for testing purposes. Create a new slideshow with only two different YouTube videos. Create a new test post and add the shortcode and see what happens.

I have now created and tested identical slideshows made up of two Youtube videos on three separate websites, with one of the websites tested NOT running the Slideshow plugin previously until I installed it to run the test. I.e. A brand new install.

THE RESULT: The same problem occurred as described in this thread on each website!

Does this tell us something conclusive? (I will give this same information to my website host company.)

Hi, Kevin it does allow you to work more closely with your issue. However I have not seen anyone else report this issue. It could be a server related issue or many a settings configuration problem.

I have now been able to do a conclusive test on this problem.

I HAVE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO TEST THE EXACT SAME SET-UP (Standard plugin configuration) on a website hosted ON/BY A DIFFERENT HOST/SERVER.

THE RESULT WAS THAT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AS DESCRIBED IN THIS THREAD.

I would appreciate it very much if you could have another think about this issue as I value using your Slideshow plugin very much.

Can confirm that I have the same issue. When I use navigation buttons youtube video slide is blank (black). Whatever if navigation buttons are not touched video slide show thumbnail.

for example, first slide here is video thumbnail, but after navigation thumbnail disapear.

@rick2rick you might have a cache issue. If you have a cache plugin installed can you delete the cache? If that does not work can you disable all plugins except this one can check and see the slideshow.

Sorry I dont have any cache plugin. Whatever disabling plugins wont help. Issue somewhere in javascript code though.

I suppose navigation buttons activate video, but sliding keeps video at 0 frame at same time.

Hi, it could also be related to the following settings.

• Number of seconds the slide takes to slide in
• Number of seconds the description takes to slide in
• Seconds between changing slides

I aleady tried it before. No luck.
Now is set default values 1/0.4/5
