YouTube links for beginners

    Please could you explain (in very simple terms) how the user should decide:

      whether to check (or not) the YouTube API box under Protocols and APIs; and

      whether the user should get their own YouTube API if they have checked that box or if they have not.

    I have read a number of support pages on this site, but I can’t find any explanations for a novice. I do have some YouTube links that I want to have checked, but I don’t have a YouTube API.

    Hi @scarne,

    Yes, you’ll need to enable the “Youtube API” checkbox under “Protocols and API” and also you’ll need to insert your own Youtube API Key in the plugin side for the plugin to check the Youtube links. Without adding the Youtube API Key the Youtube videos will be detected with 403 status error.
