YouTube link in P@ not working

    Placed link to a YouTube video as per the P2 video.
    It’s not working.
    Any ideas as to why not?
    (Have placed YouTube links and embeds many times in the past without issues, so I’m not unfamiliar with the process.)

  • How did you resolve this? I’m also seeing [youtube=] shortcode not work in 1.5.0.

    The short code is not necessary – just make sure the YouTube URL is on its own line (ie hit return after posting the URL). The video will embed itself.

    when I add the url for the youtube video into post, only the urlitself shows, no video. Have checked the url itself and it works fine. Using WP 3.9. any help?

    It’s a bit pernickety:

    The link needs to be on its own line, and it must not be the last line in the post. Hit return after the link so your cursor is on a new line – that should solve your problem.

    Thanks for your help. I tried this, still doenst work. First time I have had the problem. Are there any settings to change? Done everything I know, the video still will not show.
