• hi there.

i can’t seem to get youtube embeds to show up in the post fields on my main page. (they work fine, however, as individual posts on back pages.)

i’m using the Magazine Basic WP theme. here’s the site:

    https://johnsonelitesports.com

you’ll notice i was able to get them to show up under “skills videos” and “featured videos”, but only by pasting the code into the main page template itself. no such luck when i put the same code in the content field (HTML tab enabled, of course) for those bottom two entries on the front page. and unfortunately it needs to be done that way, as my client will need to be able to easily manage the posts on his own.

as i said, it does show up properly on the back pages. see?:

any ideas? am i missing a piece of script code on the main page template or something?

thanks in advance for your help, everyone.

    best wishes,
    jim

    Jim,

any luck with this one. I am having the same problem. Ever since I upgraded WordPress to 2.8.4, I can not embed YouTube videos anymore. All that shows up is the embed code. I tried to use this method, but all that did was put a link to the YouTube page and didn’t embed it at all, as is demonstrated in the video.

Has anyone else had this problem?
